QUETTA: A convoy led by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) provincial minister Ali Madad Jatak came under a grenade and gunfire attack near Munir Mengal Chowk on Sariab Road in Quetta. According to a private TV channel report, unidentified assailants launched the assault while the convoy was en route. Fortunately, Ali Madad Jatak remained unharmed in the incident. However, five individuals sustained injuries and were shifted to CMH hospital for treatment.

A heavy police contingent arrived at the scene, and investigations are underway to determine the nature of the blast.
