ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif proposes Grand National Dialogue for Balochistan. He stated that various parts of Balochistan development merged with the nation immediately after its creation, following the heartfelt aspirations of local elders.
Speaking to participants of the National Workshop in Islamabad, he highlighted that the rich history of the Baloch people is deeply rooted in traditions of bravery, hospitality, and valor.
The Prime Minister emphasized that pressing issues facing Balochistan development must be resolved through constructive dialogue, noting that the province comprises both Baloch and Pashtun communities.
Stressing that the people of the province hold the primary right over its natural resources, he explained that the core objective of ongoing discussions is to listen directly to local grievances.
Because Balochistan development relies heavily on the equitable distribution of mineral wealth and assets, achieving long-term stability requires fair resource sharing coupled with open communication.
He further condemned the targeted killings of laborers based on ethnicity, asserting that national dignity and honor can never be compromised.

Addressing broader regional security challenges, the Prime Minister pointed out that geopolitical complexities bring significant administrative responsibilities, and external hostile states are actively fueling terrorism in both Balochistan development and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by supporting elements like Fitna al-Khawarij.
