Govt's monitoring cell exposes RAW's nexus with BLA

ISLAMABAD: The Research Analysis Wing (RAW) has once again come under scrutiny following a recent surge in disinformation campaigns and unclaimed attacks in Balochistan, according to credible sources within Pakistan’s law enforcement and security institutions.

There are several security analysts have observed that groups such as FaH, FAK, ISKP, Daesh, PTM, and BYC, BLA, already designated as terrorist organizations by both the government and international bodies including the United Nations, are being used as tools by RAW to destabilize the region.

This deceptive strategy, according to officials, aims to create confusion within Pakistan’s domestic landscape by falsely linking terrorist groups to intelligence agencies.

Furthermore, various historical parallels have been drawn to similar patterns involving Mangal Bagh, the Mehsood and Fazlullah factions in the Federally Administered Khyber (FAK) region, as well as the Jamat-ul-Ahrar split from the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). These instances have consistently followed a pattern of infighting claims, followed by escalations in violence and targeted killings.

Meanwhile, RAW-backed media outlets such as the “Balochistan Post” have begun propagating narratives of a rift between ISKP and FaH.

It is widely acknowledged in international counterterrorism circles that various anti-Pakistan militant groups maintain safe havens in Afghanistan and receive financial and logistical support from Indian diplomatic missions based there.
