ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced to end the tax exemptions granted to the merged districts of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the budget for the upcoming financial year 2025-26.
According to details, Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb presented the budget and said that the tax exemptions granted to the merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have been ended in the next budget.

Federal Finance Minister said that in the budget speech that sales tax will be imposed on businesses in the merged districts in a phased manner in the next 5 years, 10 percent sales tax is being imposed on businesses in the merged districts in the next financial year.
