QUETTA: Governor Balochistan, Jaffar Khan Mandokhel, called upon Vice Chancellors of public sector universities across the province to hold Senate and Syndicate meetings in accordance with the directives issued by the Chancellor’s Office.
He stressed that these steps are essential to guide Balochistan’s higher education institutions toward sustainable development and academic excellence.
The Governor shared these statements during a meeting with Vice Chancellor of Gwadar University, Prof Dr. Abdul Razaq Sabir, at the Governor’s House.
Governor Mandokhel underlined the urgent need for a renewed vision for public universities in Balochistan. He mentioned the importance of strategic planning and collective decision-making in improving institutional performance.
He was giving reference to the evolving economic and trade dynamics in the region, particularly in light of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Governor Mandokhel focused on the importance of equipping students with both quality education and market-relevant technical skills. He reasserted his call for university administrators to comply with procedural requirements, particularly the timely holding of Senate and Syndicate meetings.
