Governor Mandokhail stresses good governance for democratic strength

QUETTA: Governor of Balochistan, Malik Abdul Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, has underlined the need for good governance as a foundational element in increasing the quality of life for citizens and strengthening the strength of democratic institutions in Pakistan.

Governor Mandokhail focused on that improved coordination between the federal and provincial governments is essential to promoting mutual understanding and achieving cohesive national development. 

He described intergovernmental cooperation as a “critical step” toward ensuring smooth functioning and effective service delivery.

The Governor reasserted the importance of active civic engagement in democratic processes, calling it the cornerstone of good governance. He mentioned the government’s commitment to including citizens in the formulation of policies and development plans at both provincial and national levels.

Governor Mandokhail also stressed the importance of transparency, accountability, and responsiveness, identifying these values as essential for restoring and maintaining public trust in governance structures.  He urged the adoption of people-centric approaches to policymaking, saying such measures would “restore confidence in the system and help establish a governance model that truly serves the people.”

He further called for the creation of efficient grievance redressal systems at the union council level, enabling swift and effective resolution of public complaints.
