QUETTA: Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, met with Federal Minister for Railways, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, to discuss improvements in railway services within the province. During the meeting, special attention was given to launching a shuttle train service between Saryab Station in Quetta and Kuchlak.
The proposed 32-kilometer stretch of railway track is being evaluated for operational use under this shuttle service project.
Railway officials briefed the Chief Minister on the plan, which includes the development of five stations: Saryab, Quetta, Sheikh Manda, Baleli, and Kuchlak.
The project is estimated to cost around 283 million rupees. Federal Minister Hanif Abbasi also announced that Pakistan Railways would support the construction of an international-standard football ground in Quetta.
Chief Minister Bugti emphasized the provincial government’s commitment to expanding railway services in Balochistan to enhance travel facilities for the public.

He stated that serious consideration is being given to the shuttle project, which is expected to significantly improve transport options for residents of Quetta and nearby areas.
