Karachi: Gold prices rose again in both international and local markets on Wednesday, with silver also becoming more expensive.
In the international bullion market, gold surged by $152 per ounce, reaching a new high of $4,565 per ounce.
Due to the global increase, the local sarafa market in Pakistan saw a sharp rise for the second consecutive day.
The price of 24-karat gold per tola jumped by Rs15,200 to Rs479,262.
Similarly, the price of gold per 10 grams increased by Rs13,031 to Rs410,889.
Meanwhile, silver prices also climbed locally:
- Silver per tola rose by Rs370 to Rs7,824.
- Silver per 10 grams increased by Rs317 to Rs6,707.
