Local gold prices witnessed a sharp rise of Rs10,900 per tola in the domestic market.
Gold and silver prices in Pakistan have crossed new all-time highs on both global and local levels.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola surged by Rs10,900, bringing it to a record level of Rs532,062.
For the first time in Pakistan, the price of 10 grams of gold crossed Rs450,000, while the price per tola of silver surpassed Rs11,000.
The 10-gram gold price increased by Rs9,345. Meanwhile, silver per tola rose by Rs627, reaching a historic high of Rs11,428.
On the international front, spot gold per ounce climbed by $109 to reach a record level of $5,097.
