ISLAMABAD: Gold prices continued to rise sharply in Pakistan and international markets on Tuesday, reaching new all-time highs.
In Pakistan, the price of gold increased by 21,100 rupees per tola. This pushed prices above the 550,000-rupee mark for the first time.
After the increase, gold traded at 551,961 rupees per tola. The price of 10 grams of gold rose by 18,090 rupees to a record 472,961 rupees.

In the international market, gold jumped by $211 per ounce. It reached a historic high of $5,293 per ounce.
Market analysts attributed the surge to strong global demand and ongoing economic uncertainty.
