Gwadar: Under the vision of GDA Director General Moin-ur-Rehman Khan, improvement initiatives are in progress at GDA Public Higher Secondary School Gwadar.
To address staff shortages, transparent recruitments have been carried out, while special attention is being given to renovating the pre-primary section.
The project is being supervised by Deputy Director HR, Mr. Nazar Muhammad, with the support of Principal Raja Imtiaz Hussain and Art Teacher Ms. Shaheena Rashid.
Once this phase is completed, additional projects—such as installing a solar power system, setting up a computer lab, and repairing the school building—will be launched.
The Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) has played a central role in transforming Gwadar from a small fishing town into a planned coastal city over the past two decades.
Its projects are designed to support the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and turn Gwadar into a regional trade and tourism hub.
Key initiatives include urban master planning, expansion of road networks, and the creation of residential and commercial zones such as the Gwadar Smart Port City Master Plan.
GDA has also focused on public welfare by investing in health, education, and energy infrastructure.
Notable efforts include the construction of the GDA Hospital, improvements to water supply and desalination plants, solar energy projects to address power shortages, and the development of parks, schools, and housing schemes for local communities.
