Pukhtunkhwa National Awami Party slams gas loadshedding in Quetta

OGRA recommends gas price reduction for Balochistan and Sindh

QUETTA: The Pukhtunkhwa National Awami Party (PNAP) has strongly condemned the ongoing gas loadshedding and alleged negligence of the Sui gas company in Quetta and its surrounding areas, calling the situation “deeply regrettable and unacceptable.”

In a provincial press release, the party said that depriving residents of an essential utility like gas was intolerable. “Complete gas shutdown after 10 p.m. in Quetta city has made life miserable for residents,” the statement said, adding that people are being denied a basic necessity of life.

PNAP noted that prolonged gas outages have caused severe hardships and fueled public anger, further eroding trust in government institutions. The party accused the gas company of ignoring public complaints and failing to comply with clear directives from the judiciary to resolve the crisis.

“This inaction is clear proof of the company’s negligence, incompetence, and irresponsibility,” the statement read.

PNAP demanded uninterrupted gas supply to Quetta and surrounding areas and urged authorities to take legal action against officials responsible for the outages.
