Four people dies due to gas leakage in Quetta

Quetta: Four people died due to suffocation after a gas leak filled a house in the Nawan Killi Road area of Quetta.

According to sources, in a house located in the Labour Colony on Nawan Killi Road, a heater was left burning throughout the night, causing gas to accumulate in the room.

As a result, four people sleeping in the house suffocated and died.

Police sources confirmed that the deceased include a husband and wife along with their two children.

It is worth noting that during the current year, dozens of people have lost their lives in similar incidents caused by gas leaks, explosions, and suffocation.

Unfortunately, preventing such tragedies is only possible through public caution and awareness.

People often leave gas heaters burning in their homes without turning them off.

At night, when the gas supply is temporarily suspended, the heaters go off.

However, when the supply resumes in the early morning, the heaters automatically reignite, releasing gas continuously.

People sleeping in the room then suffocate unknowingly, leading to their deaths.

Similarly, if gas accumulates in a room or kitchen, even striking a matchstick or simply turning on an electric light switch can trigger a powerful explosion, causing widespread destruction and loss of life.

Therefore, the public is repeatedly urged to ensure, before going to sleep at night, that no gas stove or heater is left on or open.

This simple precaution is the only way to protect oneself and family members from fatal accidents.

Only through such vigilance can lives be saved from these deadly incidents.
