ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC), chaired by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, approved amendments to the Prime Minister’s Fan Replacement Program rules and sanctioned payments of PKR 4.77 billion to the families of 945 missing persons.
According to the ECC communiqué, the committee also approved funds for various departments and reviewed the reduction in inflation and price stability.
The briefing highlighted that inflation was 4.1% in July and 3% in August, with an average inflation of 5% from July to November, and a rate of 6.1% in November.
The ECC approved an investment of PKR 20 billion in discourses, PKR 635 million for SDG energy projects, PKR 576 million for Daanish Schools and youth skill development programs, PKR 519 million for development projects in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and PKR 170.4 million for the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation.
The communiqué also mentioned approvals for funds for the repair of Frontier Corps and Rangers helicopters, construction of additional residential suites for parliament members, and PKR 250 million for King Hamad Nursing University.
It is worth mentioning that Pakistan has taken a lot of necessary measures in order to enhance the economic stability as well as consolidation of defense.
Some significant development projects have been launched in the remote areas of KP and Balochistan.
Vital enhancement in the defense sector has also been carried out to cope with the internal and the external threats.
Although, there are challenges of the foreign-backed insurgencies and the political instability at the moment.
However, the state’s focus on tackling with every single hurdle has made a slow but long-lasting impact in the recent times.
