QUETTA: Political analyst Muhammad Ali Achakzai strongly rejected the narrative pushed by terrorist groups operating under Fitan al Hindustan, saying the claim of “deprivation” in Balochistan holds no ground.
“Our Chief Justice was from Balochistan. The caretaker government came from Balochistan. The Senate Chairman is from Balochistan. A prime minister from Balochistan served Pakistan. This isn’t deprivation,” he said.
Achakzai criticised how some people try to fuel separatist sentiment by falsely portraying Balochistan as ignored. “They don’t have material to support their claims anymore,” he added.
He repeated that Balochistan has been at the center of national leadership. “Our caretaker government came from Balochistan,” he said.
Switching focus, he condemned the brutal tactics used by terrorists.
“When your enemy is weak and cannot face you in battle, he turns to propaganda,” he stated. “They think they have better equipment and more power, but when you defeat them, they resort to targeting civilians.”
He described how terrorists strike where it hurts the most. “Sometimes they target innocent children. Sometimes, they attack women. Why? Because women are tied to the future,” he explained.
“Their logic is clear,” he said. “By targeting children and women, they aim to paralyze our beautiful society.”
Achakzai named two groups he believes are responsible. “The group working from abroad, and another—Fitna al Hindustan—have the same goal. They cannot face you in direct combat, so they kill the helpless.”
He further added, “They target laborers, travelers, and innocent people who come to Balochistan just to earn a living and feed their families.”
Achakzai called on people to reject the terrorists’ message and recognize Balochistan’s vital role in Pakistan’s unity.
