Four Khawarij killed in Intelligence-Based Operation in Panjgur, ISPR

RAWALPINDI: The security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in Panjgur following reports of the presence of militants linked to Fitna al Khwarij, which authorities have described as an Indian-sponsored proxy group, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Furthermore, the operation was conducted after actionable intelligence indicated militant activity in the area. During the course of the operation, security personnel effectively engaged the identified location.

In such a scenario, the individuals were allegedly involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region. So far, the security forces initiated sanitization operations in and around the area to ensure the elimination of any remaining militants.

These clearance efforts are aimed at restoring security and preventing the regrouping of hostile elements, the statement added.

The ISPR focused on the fact that Pakistan’s security forces, in coordination with law enforcement agencies, remain committed to maintaining peace and stability across the country.

The operation forms part of a broader counterterrorism strategy under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” which was approved by the Federal Apex Committee as part of the National Action Plan.

Moreover, Balochistan has witnessed a series of security operations in recent years as authorities work to counter militant activity and safeguard critical infrastructure, development projects, and civilian populations.
