Four FC personnel martyred in Quetta Blast

QUETTA: At least four Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were martyred and three others injured in an explosion in Quetta’s Margate area on Friday.

The blast occurred near the squad of the bomb disposal unit. It targeted security forces while they were disposing of an improvised explosive device (IED).

Those martyred include Subedar Shahzad Amin, Naib Subedar Abbas, Sepoy Khalil, and Sepoy Zahid. Security sources confirmed the casualties.

Lance Naik Zafar, Lance Naik Farooq, and Sepoy Khurram Saleem were injured in the blast. Rescue teams rushed them to a nearby hospital. Doctors are closely monitoring their condition.

Soon after the explosion, security forces sealed off the area. They launched a search operation to find those behind the attack.

Officials have pledged to bring the attackers to justice.

This incident is the latest in a wave of attacks on security forces in Balochistan. The province has seen a rise in insurgent activity in recent months.
