Foreign ministers of Pakistan, Egypt and Turkey meet in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a high-level meeting with Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Islamabad, where both leaders confirmed their commitment to strong bilateral relations and discussed key regional developments.

The two sides underined the deep-rooted and historic ties between Pakistan and Türkiye, which are built on mutual trust, shared values, and close cooperation across multiple sectors.

So far, both leaders expressed satisfaction over the current trajectory of relations and reiterated their resolve to further increase collaboration in political, economic, and strategic domains.

The ministers exchanged views on the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region amid rising tensions. They stressed that dialogue and diplomatic engagement remain the most effective tools to address conflicts and prevent escalation.

In this regard, Both Ishaq Dar and Hakan Fidan emphasized the need for de-escalation and called on all stakeholders to exercise restraint. They mentioned that constructive diplomacy, coordination, and cooperation among regional actors are essential to achieving sustainable peace.

The meeting also indicated a shared understanding of the challenges facing the region, including security concerns and geopolitical complexities. In this context, both sides agreed to continue close consultations and coordination on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The visit of the Turkish Foreign Minister to Islamabad is seen as another step toward strengthening diplomatic ties and reinforcing the longstanding partnership between the two countries.
