Security forces kill 22 Khawarij in operations in Central Kurram

KURRAM: Security forces killed 22 militants in two intelligence-based operations in the Manato and Mirzai areas of Central Kurram. Several attackers were also injured in the operations.

According to details, the forces launched targeted and timely actions after receiving credible intelligence. The militants had taken over a house near a residential area and were hiding inside.

Security forces engaged the militants in a precise operation. The house exploded during the encounter because the militants had planted explosives inside. The blast destroyed the structure. A few security personnel sustained injuries, but there were no reports of civilian casualties.

Officials said the militants were involved in terror activities and were using the hideout to plan further attacks.

The security forces reaffirmed that Pakistan and its institutions remain united in eliminating terrorism. They said operations will continue until the last militant is taken down.

Yesterday, the ISPR said in a statement that twenty-three khwarij belonging to Indian Proxy Fitna Al Khwarij were killed in two separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.

During the operation, conducted on 16-17 November 2025, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location, resultantly eleven khwarij including kharji ring leader Sajjad @Abuzar were sent to hell, it added.

In another intelligence-based operation conducted in Bannu District, own troops successfully neutralized twelve more khwarij.
