BANNU: The Pakistan Army and police successfully carried out a joint search and targeted operation against Khawarij in the Huwed area of Bannu.
The operation was based on credible intelligence reports. Its aim was to eliminate the threat of terrorism and restore peace in the area.
Security forces cordoned off the region and launched a thorough search. Police detained several suspects during the operation.
Troops also demolished the houses of two local facilitators linked to the Khawarij.
Residents welcomed the operation and termed it vital for public safety. They pledged full support to the security forces.
