QUETTA: During the Balochistan Assembly session, Provincial Livestock Minister Faisal Jamali expressed concern over floodwaters heading toward Guddu, warning that the Naseerabad Division could come under threat.
He urged that officials from all relevant departments provide a detailed briefing on the matter and emphasized the need for constant coordination with the Sindh government regarding the evolving flood situation.
Jamali further stressed that all departments should remain in close contact with the Irrigation Department.
He added that, according to current updates, the situation remains normal.
Responding to these concerns, Provincial Finance Minister Shoaib Nosherwani stated that a PDMA team has already been deployed in Naseerabad and assured that officials would coordinate to address the apprehensions raised by the Livestock Minister.
On the occasion, MPA Muhammad Khan Lehri pointed out that while warnings of floods are being issued, people in his constituency are facing severe water shortages in the Pat Feeder Canal. He said residents are protesting due to the lack of water supply.
