Five Levies personnel dismissed for failing to act during Nushki attack

QUETTA: The District administration of Nushki has dismissed five Levies personnel for showing negligence and cowardice during an attack on the Kuchaki checkpost in Nushki.

According to the notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Nushki, the dismissed personnel showed “negligence and cowardice” during the assault, failing to respond adequately to the security threat. Among those dismissed are one Risaldar and four constables, the statement confirmed.

The attack, which took place recently at the strategically important Kuchaki checkpost, raised serious questions about the preparedness and conduct of security personnel stationed in sensitive border areas.

The dismissed Levies personnel were identified as Muhammad Khan Risaldar, Shaukat Ali Sepoy, Siraj Ahmed Sepoy, Muhammad Tayyab Sepoy and Muhammad Naheem son of Abdul Rehman.

Provincial authorities have emphasized that disciplinary actions are part of ongoing efforts to enhance accountability and improve the effectiveness of the Levies Force. Investigations into the incident are still underway, and further administrative or legal action has not been ruled out.
