UPPER DIR: At least five Fitna Al-Khawarij militants killed in a targeted operation conducted by KP Police in Upper Dir district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Spokesperson of CPO Khyber Pakhtunkhwa told local media that the targeted operation was conducted on information about the presence of Fitna Al-Khawarij militants, adding that Fitna Al-Khawarij was involved in an attack on a police party a few days ago.
During the operation, he informed that one civilian was martyred, while 8 police personnel were slightly injured while 5 terrorists were killed, of whom the body of one has been recovered. A search operation is underway to find the remaining miscreants and clear the area.
On the other hand, the IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that they pay tribute to the police officers and soldiers for the targeted operation. An operation against terrorists is underway in the Dobindo, Barikot, Salam Kot and Atandra areas of Upper Dir.

The funeral prayers of a citizen who was martyred by gunfire were offered at the Police Lines.
