Earlier on Friday, the inaugural flight arrived at Quetta International Airport, with Iran Air scheduling one weekly flight between Quetta and Zahedan initially.
Last month, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced that Pakistani pilgrims would be prohibited from traveling to Iran or Iraq by road for this year’s Arbaeen pilgrimage due to security concerns.
