Ottawa: A shooting incident at a high school in British Columbia, Canada, has left 10 people dead—including the alleged female attacker—and 27 others injured.
According to foreign media reports, the shooting took place at a high school in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, where the attack resulted in the deaths of 10 individuals, including the suspected perpetrator.
Police reported that six bodies were recovered inside the school. One additional injured person died while being transported to the hospital.
Authorities also stated that two more individuals were found dead in a nearby house, and investigators believe their deaths are connected to the shooting incident.
Two severely wounded victims were airlifted to hospital, with their conditions described as critical. In total, 27 injured people received medical treatment.
Police confirmed that the suspect in the Tumbler Ridge attack was likely a woman.
The alleged attacker died by suicide after carrying out the shooting, and further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
