QUETTA : The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Balochistan Zone has intensified its crackdown against the illegal trade of petroleum products and has begun a complete inspection of stock and records at petroleum depots in Quetta, officials said on Saturday.
According to FIA officials, petroleum stock at various depots was verified by matching it with registers and official documents. Stock registers and other related records were also thoroughly examined. The officials confirmed that strict measures are currently underway against illegal hoarding and smuggling of petroleum products across the province.
The FIA made it clear that black marketing of petroleum products will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and strict legal action will be taken against those involved in any violations.
Officials further stated that inspections will continue to ensure transparency in the supply chain. The public has also been urged to immediately report any suspicious activity related to the illegal petroleum trade to the agency.
The FIA Balochistan Zone said that the crackdown is being further intensified to ensure the availability of petroleum products and to help stabilize prices in the local market. No arrests have been reported so far, but officials indicated that operations are ongoing and will expand to other districts in the comi
