QUETTA: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Balochistan Zone has arrested an accused involved in hawala hundi and illegal currency exchange Samangli Road, Quetta.
FIA spokesperson told local private news channel that a raid was conducted in Quetta against the accused involved in hawala hundi and illegal currency exchange, the FIA has arrested the accused during the operation, adding that foreign currency worth lakhs of rupees has been recovered from the arrested accused.
The arrested accused, was identified as Arshad Khan. FIA spokesperson said that arrested person was involved in the Hawala Hundi business for the last 7 years, from which Rs 4.2 million was recovered.

He further said that evidence related to Hawala Hundi, including more than 30 checkbooks, account registers, various stamps and mobile phones, have also been recovered from the accused.
He said that the accused could not give a satisfactory answer to the authorities regarding the recovered currency, further investigation has been initiated in this regard.
