FIA Arrests Key Human Trafficker in Taftan, Recovers Passports, Mobile phones

QUETTA: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a human trafficker involved in smuggling Pakistani citizens abroad through illegal routes during a successful operation in the border area of Taftan.

FIA spokesperson told local media that the raid was conducted on the basis of intelligence reports. The arrested human trafficker was identified as Iftikhar Hussain, is allegedly a key member of an organized human trafficking network. FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle also recovered multiple passports and mobile phones from his possession.

According to FIA spokesperson, the arrested Iftikhar Hussain has facilitated the unlawful departure of several individuals to foreign countries, bypassing immigration laws and putting lives at risk.

The FIA has launched a thorough investigation, and further arrests are expected as part of the ongoing crackdown on human trafficking networks operating in border areas.

FIA reaffirmed its commitment to dismantling human trafficking networks and urged the public to report any suspicious activities related to human smuggling.
