KHUZDAR: In a significant crackdown on smuggling activities, the Frontier Corps (FC) Quetta Scouts successfully intercepted a major consignment of illegal goods on the National Highway N-25, officials confirmed on Sunday.
The operation was the result of precise, intelligence-based monitoring, leading to the interception of a vehicle transporting a large quantity of gutka and other prohibited items. The successful raid underscores the ongoing efforts by security forces to dismantle the networks responsible for pumping harmful substances into the province.
Following the seizure, the district administration oversaw the public destruction of all the confiscated illegal goods in Khuzdar. The materials were set ablaze in a controlled burn, demonstrating a zero-tolerance policy towards the smuggling and distribution of items that pose a significant health risk to the public, particularly the youth.
FC officials, in a statement, reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to eradicating smuggling networks. They emphasized that the operation is part of a broader, sustained campaign to keep Balochistan free from harmful and illicit substances that damage public health and social fabric.
