LAHORE: In Lahore, fast bowler Haris Rauf is unlikely to be part of Pakistan’s probable 15-member squad for the ICC T20 World Cup.
According to sources, national team head coach Mike Hesson has not supported his inclusion since the Asia Cup final.
Sources also indicate that Haris Rauf has not played any T20 international match for Pakistan since the Asia Cup, which has led the selection committee to carefully evaluate his current availability and form.
It is worth mentioning that Haris Rauf is currently occupied playing in the Big Bash League in Australia.
Despite the fact that Rauf has been among the most successful T20 bowlers in Australia, his performances in the shortest format in Sub-Continent has not been up to the mark.
Rauf was seen struggling in the Asia Cup in October, when he was smashed for many runs taking fewer number of wickets.
