False narratives on abduction of women in Khuzdar exposed

KHUZDAR: The recent allegations regarding the abduction and harassment of women in Khuzdar have been strongly rejected as baseless propaganda, aimed at maligning state institutions and creating a misleading narrative reminiscent of the disinformation spread during the events of East Pakistan.

The narrative of systematic abductions and abuse of women in Balochistan is a deliberate attempt to distort reality and undermine the state’s efforts for peace and development in the region.

On the contrary to these allegations, it has been underlined that women in Balochistan have suffered the most at the hands of banned terrorist outfits such as the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and the Baloch Liberation Front (BLF).

Furthermore, the case of Mahl Baloch has been cited as a recent example, where a young woman was manipulated by terrorist elements through deceptive slogans and pressure tactics to participate in anti-state activities.

Similarly, Shari Baloch, an educated woman, was exploited by extremist groups and tragically turned into a suicide bomber. The attack she carried out in Karachi claimed the lives of innocent foreign teachers and Pakistani citizens, drawing condemnation from across the world.

It is further focused on that the real threat to Baloch women comes from these extremist groups, whose hands are stained with the blood of innocents.

The narrative from security and civil authorities makes clear that the protection, dignity, and progress of Baloch women lie with the state, not with the very groups that have exploited and endangered them for decades.
