False narrative fails as social media counters Indian propaganda on Khuzdar attack: Babar

QUETTA: Senior political analyst Babar Yousafzai has said that the Indian-backed supporters of the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) of spreading false propaganda about the recent Khuzdar attack. He said they circulated a notification from the Balochistan government, claiming that all schools were officially closed, and that the attack was not on a school bus.

He clarified that while the Balochistan government had announced summer vacations, the attacked vehicle belonged to Army Public School, which operates under the Federal Board. “Federal Board schools are still open,” he stated. “They used a provincial notification to mislead people, but their propaganda failed.”

Yousafzai emphasized that APS schools follow the Federal Board’s academic calendar — including summer and winter vacations. “The propaganda was exposed quickly, thanks to social media and digital awareness,” he said.

He praised Pakistan’s online community. “Our keyboard warriors once again played a key role in countering this fake narrative — just like during the Jaffer Express incident and times of heightened tensions with India.”

He alleged that the propaganda campaign originated in India. “These people don’t have the intelligence to plan this on their own. It was orchestrated by ‘Fitna-e-Hindustan’ from across the border,” he said. “They didn’t even know there’s a difference between the Balochistan and Federal education boards.”

Babar Yousafzai concluded by saying that every aware citizen of Balochistan could see through the lies. “India keeps trying to plant fake narratives, but they end up shaming themselves every time — and once again, Allah exposed them.”
