QUETTA: There is a claim circulating on social media, suggesting that police officers were abducted by the proscribed Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) near Manguchar, district Kalat, which has been confirmed as false.
The BLA, known for its involvement in a range of anti-state activities, has once again attempted to propagate disinformation to further its extremist agenda. The terrorist group falsely claimed responsibility for detaining several police personnel during an alleged blockade near Manguchar.
On the contrary, these claims, all police officers are reported to be safe, actively deployed at their respective posts, and continuing their duties in the defense of Balochistan.

The police officers named in the misleading reports, Sub-Inspector Anwar Baloch, ASI Ghulam Sarwar, Constables Shabbir Ahmed, Faraz Ahmed, Mohammad Iqbal Sheikh, and Mohammad Nasir, are confirmed to be performing their official duties without incident.
Furthermore, the false narrative follows a wave of violence led by BLA militants in the Manguchar region. In this regard, armed insurgents launched coordinated attacks targeting government infrastructure, including the NADRA office, judicial complex, and a local bank.
The BLA’s so-called “Fateh Squad” claimed responsibility for the violence, but security forces have since secured the area and launched a thorough investigation into the attacks.
However, government officials and law enforcement agencies are committed to upholding peace and stability in Balochistan and ensuring that such propaganda does not deter the morale and dedication of those defending the motherland.
