Exposed: What is ‘Project Laila’ planned by Maharang Baloch and RAW in Norway?

QUETTA: New revelations have emerged about Dr. Mahrang Baloch’s visit to Norway in May 2024 for the World Expression Forum (WEXFO).

While the visit was officially portrayed as an academic engagement focused on freedom of expression, confidential intelligence suggests a far more strategic and covert agenda behind the scenes.

According to Confidential Mission Briefing 14/24, Mahrang secretly met Ajay Chander Bedi, the European Mission Chief of Indian intelligence agency RAW. The meeting took place in the suburbs of Oslo, at the RAW Wing Legion House in Bjerkedalen.

That meeting, sources say, became the starting point of a new anti-Pakistan campaign—disguised under the banner of peaceful protests and human rights.

RAW’s scripted plan

Bedi reportedly instructed Mahrang to push a narrative that paints Pakistan as a human rights violator. He advised her to use women and children on the frontlines to gain global sympathy.

Soon after, a workshop under the name “Project Laila” was organized in Norway. As per NOR-PSS Internal Memo, dated 28 May 2024, this five-day session trained BYC community organizers in media management and scripted slogans. India’s goal was clear: create a soft front to shield proxies like BLA and BLF while vilifying Pakistan.

A deadly stunt

The plan escalated after a counter-terror operation against the BLA. Mahrang staged another protest. This time, a minor boy was placed at the center. During the protest, the boy was shot. Immediately, the blame fell on the Baloch police.

But intelligence sources later confirmed that the attacker was an Indian sleeper cell operative. The attack was pre-planned to trigger global outrage and discredit Pakistani institutions.

Hypocrisy exposed

The pattern reveals a chilling truth. Mahrang and BYC are not defending human rights. They are building a propaganda shield for India-backed terror outfits, knowns as Fitna al Hindustan. These groups then operate freely while portraying state action as oppression.

This became even more evident after the Khuzdar school bus attack. BLA terrorists targeted an Army Public School vehicle, killing several children. Yet, Mahrahng Baloch and BYC leaders stayed silent. No condemnation and no condolence.

Even prominent human rights voices like Eman Mazari, usually vocal, chose complete silence. This was not negligence—it was selective activism. When the accused are anti-state forces, these figures stay quiet. Their silence exposes a shared agenda: hide terrorist crimes, blame the state.

A dangerous narrative

These developments highlight how the so-called human rights activists are being used as tools in a broader hybrid war. Their role: provide political cover for armed proxies, twist facts, and fuel anti-Pakistan sentiment abroad.

This network of propaganda poses a serious threat—not only to Pakistan’s image but also to the safety of its citizens, especially children caught in the crossfire of carefully crafted disinformation.
