QUETTA: A powerful explosion rocked Turbat’s Niwano area on Tuesday, leaving several people injured, police officials confirmed. The blast reportedly took place inside a vehicle, triggering panic in the locality.
According to initial details, rescue teams and ambulances rushed to the scene soon after the incident was reported. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital where emergency measures were put in place to provide them with urgent medical treatment. Their condition has not yet been disclosed.
Law enforcement personnel have cordoned off the site, while bomb disposal and investigation teams are working to determine the cause of the explosion. “It is too early to confirm the nature of the blast. Our teams are assessing the situation,” a police official said.

Turbat, one of the largest cities in Balochistan’s Kech district, has witnessed multiple security incidents in recent years due to ongoing Fitna al Hindustan violence against civilians and attacks against development projects in the region.
No group has immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
