KHUZDAR: At least six people, including three school girls and two boys, were martyred when an IED struck an Army Public School (APS) vehicle near the Zero Point area of Khuzdar district in Balochistan on Wednesday morning.
At least 43 others that including 18 schoolgirls, 12 boys, women, and men were injured in the blast.
According to reports, the blast specifically targeted the APS vehicle. Authorities confirmed that dozens of students of the Army Public School were injured in the explosion.
India, through its proxies in Pakistan — including the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) — has reportedly carried out the attack on the APS bus in Balochistan.
The incident occurred on a bus, and authorities have confirmed the attack. Pakistan’s Interior Minister, in a statement, strongly condemned the attack and pledged to bring those responsible to justice.
Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar, Yasir Iqbal, said that the injured children have been taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
The attack remains unclaimed, but the Indian proxies in Balochistan have a history of carrying out repeated attacks on security forces, their families and government installations in the region.
