Ex-CM spokesperson: Pak to Expose India-backed terrorism in Balochistan

ISLAMABAD: Former Spokesperson to the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Babar Khan Yousufzai, argued India’s continued support for militant outfits operating in Balochistan, including the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF). He was speaking to the podcast, Yousufzai declared that Pakistan will persist in exposing Indian proxy warfare aimed at destabilizing peace in the region and sabotaging strategic projects like the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

“Pakistan will be continuing to expose the Indian proxy in Balochistan and Pakistan. They continue to sponsor the BLA, BLF, and other militant wings in Balochistan to dismantle Pak-China friendship and its multibillion-dollar project, CPEC,” Yousufzai stated.

The BLA, long designated as a terrorist organization by Pakistan and other countries, has been involved in a series of violent attacks across Balochistan. These include bomb blasts, target killings, destruction of public and private infrastructure, and kidnappings.

In such a scenario, as per the verified sources, the BLA has not only targeted civilians and law enforcement agencies but has also sought to derail key infrastructure projects under CPEC, a cornerstone of the strategic partnership between Pakistan and China.

Yousufzai focused on that India’s support for separatist elements is part of a broader hybrid warfare strategy designed to harm Pakistan’s national interests.

Pakistan’s intelligence and security agencies have repeatedly presented evidence at international forums, mentioning India’s role in sponsoring terrorism on Pakistani soil. The arrest of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav in 2016 further intensified Pakistan’s claims of Indian interference, particularly in Balochistan.
