ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has continued the diplomatic contacts with the world leaders on situation in the South Asia after the Pahalgam incident.
According to details, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar had a telephone conversation with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President Kaja Kalas.
Ishaq Dar informed the European Union senior official about the recent developments in the South Asia and India’s intension of starting war with Pakistan after the Pahalgam incident.
Dar categorically rejected India’s baseless allegations and provocative propaganda against Pakistan without any evidence of the incident.
The Foreign Minister informed the EU’s Kaja Kalas about the Pakistan’s concern over the Indian government decision of suspending the Indus Water Treaty and termed it a declaration of war with Pakistan.
Dar reiterated Pakistan’s proposal for an independent and transparent investigation into the Pahalgam incident and offer full support in this regard.
The High Representative of the European Union Kaja Kalas urged both sides to exercise restraint, the European Union representative stressed the importance of dialogue for regional peace and stability.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the two leaders also discussed Pak-EU relations.
