Mojtaba Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, has paid tribute to intelligence commander Majid Khadami, who was killed in a recent attack attributed to the United States and Israel.
Khamenei strongly condemned the incident, stating that the killing of a senior intelligence official indicates hostile tactics that have repeatedly failed to undermine Iran’s defense capabilities.
He asserted that despite ongoing threats and pressure, Iran continues to resist what he described as external aggression.
Khamenei also criticized recent statements attributed to the US President Donald Trump, who had allegedly threatened to target Iran’s infrastructure, including bridges and power facilities.
The Iranian leader described such threats as “reprehensible” and warned that attacks on civilian infrastructure, including schools and essential services, would constitute violations of international law and war crimes.
“The enemy continues to issue threats of destruction on a daily basis,” Khamenei stated, adding that these efforts have consistently failed to achieve their intended objectives within Iran.
He maintained that targeting key national figures would not succeed in weakening Iran’s armed forces or its resolve.
The statement comes in the wake of reports confirming that Majid Khadami, head of Iran’s intelligence apparatus, was killed in a recent strike. While details of the operation remain limited, Iranian officials have attributed responsibility to the United States and Israel, further escalating tensions in the region.
The incident has drawn widespread attention internationally, with concerns growing over the potential for further escalation.
