Education Reforms: Lasbela Achieves 100% School Enrolment Target

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said education reforms in the province were beginning to show positive results, with the school enrolment campaign progressing successfully.

In a post on social media platform X, he said Lasbela district had achieved 100 percent of its enrolment target, setting an example for the rest of the province.

A total of 5,556 children were enrolled in schools in Lasbela, including 2,540 girls, he said.

The chief minister described the development as an important step towards the promotion of education and gender equality.

He said an increase in school enrolment of both boys and girls was a guarantee of a brighter future and a more developed Balochistan.

Bugti said the provincial government was utilising all available resources to improve the education sector.

He reiterated that no school would be allowed to remain closed in the province and every child would be provided access to education.

He also praised the district administration of Lasbela, especially the deputy commissioner, for achieving the 100 percent target in the enrolment drive.

Other districts, he said, should follow Lasbela’s example.
