QUETTA: Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, said the government is making serious efforts to reform the education department. Providing facilities in schools and resolving key issues are top priorities. He said this while responding to a call-attention notice by Mir Zabit Reki in the Balochistan Assembly.
During the session, Provincial Minister for Education Raheela Hameed Durrani asked the Chief Minister to hold a meeting with the Planning and Development (P&D) Department.
The meeting will address pending funds for building and renovating colleges. Provincial Minister for P&D, Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, stressed the government’s commitment to completing old development projects. He told the House that Rs. 178 billion have been spent this fiscal year. More funds will be invested in education.

The Chief Minister said the government has reviewed the challenges in the education sector. He assured that steps are underway to improve it. The call-attention notice was then disposed of.
