QUETTA: Provincial Education Minister Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani inaugurated a new smart auditorium at Jinnah Town Girls College on Tuesday. The ceremony also featured the launch of the college’s literary magazine, ‘Aab-e-Rawa’.
The minister congratulated the college on both achievements and praised the students’ creative work, particularly in poetry. She emphasized the importance of writing and literacy in developing young talent.
In her address, Durrani stressed a commitment to improving education quality in Balochistan, mentioning the introduction of smart classrooms, modern sciences, and better systems. She also encouraged students to love their country and remember the sacrifices of national heroes.
The minister announced that teaching the Holy Quran with translation will be made compulsory in all provincial schools, a policy already approved by the cabinet. She also spoke about the significance of the Islamic month and the example of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
At the end of the event, she announced a grant of ₹100,000 for the college. The ceremony was attended by former and current education officials, teachers, and students.
