A high-level meeting of the District Coordination Committee was held in Duki, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Naeem Khan. The meeting was attended by senior military and civil officials, including Commander 87 Wing Loralai Scouts Major Bilal Ahmed and Deputy Superintendent of Police Muhammad Asif Khajak.
The meeting conducted a detailed review of departmental performance, the progress of development projects, and issues concerning public facilities. The Deputy Commissioner directed all officials to ensure development schemes are completed on time and with quality to provide basic amenities to the public.
A major focus was placed on ongoing crackdowns against electricity theft, illegal petrol pumps, and encroachments. The Deputy Commissioner instructed relevant institutions to continue effective and indiscriminate action against these illegal activities.
Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner issued strict orders regarding the eradication of illegal poppy cultivation. He clarified that such prohibited cultivation would not be allowed under any circumstances and directed a joint campaign involving the Agriculture Department, Levies, Police, and the Anti-Narcotics Force. He warned that negligence in this matter would not be tolerated.
The meeting also concluded with directives to improve government publicity, ensure staff attendance, and promptly address public grievances. The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that discipline, transparency, and public service are the top priorities for the district administration.

In a major blow to drug trafficking networks, the Pakistan Coast Guards have confiscated a massive haul of narcotics with an estimated international value of $136.5 million during a month-long series of intelligence-based operations across Balochistan.

A spokesperson for the force confirmed that all confiscated drugs have been handed over to the relevant authorities for legal action.
Reaffirming their commitment, the Coast Guards stated, “We remain fully dedicated to combating the smuggling of narcotics and other illegal goods. These operations are part of our ongoing efforts to protect national interests and strengthen the country’s economy.”
The seizure marks a significant achievement in Pakistan’s ongoing campaign against drug trafficking.
