QUETTA: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Tuesday forecast dry conditions across most parts of Balochistan, with cool nights expected in several districts.
According to the Regional Meteorological Center, dry weather is likely to persist in most areas, while strong and dusty winds may sweep through Noshki, Quetta, Mastung, Muslim Bagh, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, and Kharan. Light dust is also expected in Chaghi and Washuk.
The department clarified that Cyclone Shakti poses no major threat to Balochistan. However, it cautioned that sea waves will remain high along the coastline and advised fishermen and coastal authorities to exercise caution in marine activities.
On Wednesday, the PMD expects dry weather and cool nights in Zhob, Quetta, and Rakhshan divisions, with generally dry conditions in other parts of the province.

Sea conditions are likely to normalize gradually along the Balochistan coast, the department added.
During the past 24 hours, light rain was recorded in Barkhan, while Turbat reported the province’s highest temperature at 36.5°C.
