“Doors open for peace, iron wall for violence”:CM Bugti’s

QUETTA: Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti delivered a resolute message on national resilience and security, declaring Pakistan an “invincible reality” built on its Constitution and the sacrifices of its people. He was speaking at the 104th Passing Out Parade of the Balochistan Police at the Police Training College on Saturday.

Emphasizing that there can be no compromise on sovereignty and stability, Bugti hailed the police as the frontline guardians of the state. “The police are not merely an institution, but a symbol of Pakistan’s constitutional existence,” he stated. He paid solemn tribute to personnel, including Captain Afridi, martyred in a past terrorist attack on the very training college, asserting that their blood renews the nation’s resolve against terrorism.

Bugti recalled that terrorists aimed to shut down the center, but today it graduates determined officers who “shatter the dreams of terrorists.” He issued a stern warning to anti-state elements, stating that those seeking to impose ideology through violence or break Pakistan would always fail. “Pakistan’s brave forces have stood, continue to stand, and will always stand like an iron wall,” he declared. While keeping doors open for peaceful reconciliation within the constitutional framework, he vowed that persistent violence would be met with full state force.

Highlighting institutional unity against terrorism, the Chief Minister defended the recent merger of the Levies Force into the police as a necessary step for responsible governance, converting Balochistan from a ‘B’ to an ‘A’ Area—a significant responsibility for the force.

Addressing the new graduates, Bugti urged them to lead in protecting citizens without discrimination and to uphold the highest character, rejecting corruption. “The true strength of the uniform lies in character,” he reminded them.

Despite financial constraints, Bugti announced substantial investments in the force’s welfare, including a dedicated electricity feeder, solar power systems, road repairs, a model ground with astro-turf, and 80 new family quarters.
