DC KALAT pays surprise visit to District Teaching Hospital

Qalat: Deputy Commissioner Jamil Ahmed Baloch conducted an unannounced visit to the District Teaching Hospital Qalat to inspect the available medical facilities.

He emphasized that providing timely and quality healthcare to the public is a top priority of the government.

Stressing the importance of staff attendance, he made it clear that negligence in the health sector would not be tolerated.

During the visit, the deputy commissioner reviewed the emergency department, OPD, laboratory, wards, and other sections of the hospital, while also interacting with patients regarding treatment and the availability of medicines.

On the occasion, Dr. Muhammad Yaqoob Zehri briefed him about the hospital’s performance as well as the challenges it faces.

It is worth mentioning that the Balochistan Government is focusing on the services and the facilities of health services across the province in the recent times.

The Provincial health minister Bakht Kakar has given strict advice to the deputy commissioners to make surprise visits to the government hospitals and review not only the infrastructure and the availability of the medicines, but also monitors the staff’s conduct and take ultimate and necessary action over the complaints and their guardians.

On the other hand, the Balochistan government has ensured to provide the people of far and rural areas to provide with the quality health services at their door-steps.
