QUETTA: A key provincial dialogue took place in Quetta to address irregular migration and human trafficking in Pakistan. The event was jointly organized by the Commissioner’s Office Quetta, SSDO (Sustainable Social Development Organization), and IOM (International Organization for Migration).
Commissioner Quetta addressed the participants. He warned that irregular migration threatens national security and the future of youth. He called human trafficking a global crisis that needs a united and structured national response.
Representatives from SSDO and IOM also spoke. They discussed the causes, impacts, and solutions to irregular migration in Balochistan. The speakers urged the need to empower youth, provide jobs, and enforce strong laws to combat the issue.
Civil society members, law enforcement, media professionals, and youth leaders attended the event. At the end, organizers compiled a set of recommendations. These will be sent to relevant authorities to help shape an effective action plan.

The dialogue marked a positive step toward joint efforts by government bodies and civil society to tackle critical public challenges.
