DHAKA: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, attended a reception hosted in his honour by Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Imran Haider. The event, held in Dhaka, brought together a distinguished gathering of personalities from diverse walks of life.
In addition, the reception was attended by senior advisers of the Bangladeshi government, prominent bureaucrats, leaders of political parties, vice chancellors of leading universities, members of the intelligentsia and think tanks, as well as journalists, artists, sports figures, and retired military officers.
Pakistan’s Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, also accompanied the Deputy Prime Minister on the occasion. In this sense, Senator Ishaq Dar mentioned the deep-rooted ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh, focusing on the historical and cultural connections that continue to bind the two nations.
He stated that the people of Pakistan hold profound fraternal sentiments for the people of Bangladesh and remain committed to strengthening the goodwill and understanding. In this regard, the gathering also provided an opportunity for extensive interaction between the Pakistani delegation and Bangladeshi dignitaries.
