LAHORE: The Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations visited several leading educational institutions in Lahore, including Aitchison College, University of Engineering and Technology and Lahore College for Women University, officials said.
He held special interactive sessions with students and faculty members at each institution.
During the discussions, he addressed national security, the role of youth, emerging global challenges and hybrid warfare. He outlined the evolving nature of modern conflict and the importance of awareness in what he described as an era of cognitive and information warfare.
Heads of institutions, teachers and students expressed confidence in the professional capabilities of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
Faculty members said that if the country ever faced a threat, teachers and students would stand shoulder to shoulder with the military in its defense.
Teachers described the DG ISPR’s remarks on current challenges as highly significant for young people.
Students said the session helped them better understand the concept of modern “hybrid” or “fifth-generation” warfare. They called direct engagement between the military and educational institutions an important step in building confidence and awareness among youth.
