NEW DELHI: As the Narendra Modi government tries to blame Pakistan, Indian opposition leaders and journalists have called it an old BJP tactic, labeling the Delhi blast a “false flag” operation aimed at gaining electoral advantage ahead of the Bihar elections.
Senior journalist Shalini Shukla said, “Every time the BJP faces a crisis, a new terrorism or blast drama is staged, and Pakistan is immediately blamed.”
Congress MP Pradyut Bordoloi called it “an expected political move ahead of the Bihar elections.”
Journalist Ravi Neer added, “During the Bihar elections, the BJP is in a weak position. More such blasts can be expected.”
Indian citizens are questioning the timing. “Why do bombings happen before every election? Who benefits?” one social media user asked. Thousands have leveled allegations online that the BJP exploits terror incidents for political gain.
Journalists Ravinder Kapoor and Sarbhi M have linked major attacks — including Pathankot, Pulwama, Pahalgam, and now the Red Fort blast — to the BJP government.
Former RSS leader Yashwant Shinde’s affidavit is being cited again, claiming the Sangh Parivar orchestrated blasts to secure electoral benefits.
The newspaper Coastal Digest also reported that the Sangh Parivar “has used blasts across India to benefit the BJP politically.”
Journalist Kalki said, “The BJP government dropped bombs on its own citizens in Delhi to suppress protests. This is terrorism.”
Public debate has intensified, with questions raised over why major attacks occur under Home Minister Amit Shah’s tenure.
Analysts say blaming Pakistan immediately after the Red Fort blast is an old BJP tactic. The goal is to gain electoral sympathy and consolidate votes.
